All problems in the world – stress, illness, exploitation, poverty, conflict, violence, war, environmental degradation, and all other problems facing humanity and shadowing its future – are caused by lack or mistakes of intelligence manifest as selfishness and greed for wealth and power, short-term vision of culture and civilization, inefficient production and utilization of energy, disconnect with nature and environment, unbalanced innovation, and use of technologies.
Unbearable Cost and Implication of Inaction:
Continuation of existing trends and tendencies are ominous for the survival of humanity. Present education systems, by and large, are not designed to awaken deep interest in problem-solving, changing mindsets, grasping deeper knowledge, imagining alternate futures, and building advanced culture and civilization.
Transition from Knowledge to Wisdom:
The main goals of Pragyalay (wisdom abode) are to supplement the acquisition of knowledge in regular academic schools with exposure to intellectual enquiry, curiosity, observation, imagination, open mind, collective welfare, and assessment of alternate technologies and futures, in addition to healthy lifestyle, preservation of natural resources and the environment.
